MCC Counselling 2023: The MCC All India Quota MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc Nursing second round counselling for 2023 has commenced. The seat matrix has been released, and choice filling will continue until August 15, 2023.
MCC Counselling 2023: Round 2 Seat Matrix Released
The seat matrix outlines the number of available seats for MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc Nursing in terms of clear vacancies and virtual vacancies for the second round of counselling. MCC also unveiled the All India Quota MBBS and BDS seat matrix on its official portal on Thursday afternoon. The All India Online Second Round Counselling has also been initiated by MCC.
Parijat Mishra, a career counselling expert, mentioned that the online second round's clear vacancy seat matrix has been categorised. It includes 6390 MBBS seats in government sector medical colleges and 619 BDS seats in dental colleges. This encompasses 356 MBBS seats in AIIMS and 2652 MBBS seats in Deemed Sector Medical Colleges, along with an additional 756 MBBS seats under the NRI quota. Furthermore, it covers 895 BDS seats in Deemed Sector Dental Colleges and an additional 89 seats under the NRI quota. The counselling process will also fill 22 MBBS and 19 Dental seats under the internal quota's clear vacancy seat of Delhi University, as well as 12 MBBS and 30 Dental seats at Indraprastha University.
Banaras Hindu University offers 9 MBBS and 54 Dental seats, while Aligarh Muslim University provides 26 MBBS and 12 Dental seats. JIPMER's Pondicherry and Karaikal campuses have 50 MBBS seats available, including 40 All India Quota seats and 10 local internal MBBS seats. Likewise, 65 MBBS seats from ESIC Medical College, designated for children of ESIC card holders, will be filled through this counselling, along with 447 seats for BSc Nursing Honours.
Additionally, the virtual vacancy seat matrix has also been published. It displays seats from the first round that joined candidates who have expressed their intent to upgrade to the second round, which they can view during choice filling.
Mishra explained that, along with the seat matrix, the choice filling process has commenced and will continue from August 10 to August 15. When selecting their desired choices, students should also consider the fees of the respective colleges. Remember to LOCK THE CHOICES ONLY AFTER FILLING ALL CHOICES CAREFULLY, AS SUBMITTED CHOICES CANNOT BE ALTERED. Choice filling can be locked by students until August 15. If choices are not locked by 11:55 pm on August 15, 2023 all choices will be auto-locked. Information about seat allotment for the second round will be released on August 18, 2023 and candidates can also obtain and print the online allotment letter. After receiving the allotment, students must report to the allocated medical college between August 20 and August 28, 2023 with their original certificates. In addition to the original certificates, two sets of self-attested photocopies and the required fee must also be submitted.
