The Karnataka Examinations Authority, KEA has started the option entry process on 2nd November for engineering and other courses. Now the KEA will close the Karnataka Common Entrance Test, KCET Option Entry 2021 today, on 8th November 2021. The interested candidates can visit the official website- cetonline.karnataka.gov.in to complete the option filling process. The candidates are required to enter the CET number and captcha code to fill the option entry form. 


This year, around 1 lakh candidates are likely to register for the counselling round. As per the government of Karnataka, the candidates should note that in all the engineering colleges, 5% of seats are reserved as a supernumerary quota. Know-How to Fill KCET Option Entry Form 2021

The candidates who are willing to fill the option entry form are required to follow the simple steps written below.

  1. Go to the official website of KEA at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

  2. On the homepage, visit the top header menu and click on the ‘Admission’ section.

  3. A drop-down menu will be visible, click on the tab named ‘UGCET 2021’ and then click on the link that mentions ‘Engineer and other course option entry link – First Round 1’.

  4. A login page will be displayed on the screen, enter login credentials like  CET Number and captcha code and then click on the submit button.

  5. Then proceed to fill the option entry form with the necessary details. After completing the form, click on the submit button. 

  6. Download and keep a hard copy of the confirmation page for future use. 

The KEA has given the option entry facility to the candidates to select appropriate courses and colleges from the provided list. As per the official notice, the examination authority will soon release the seat allotment result and the admission process for the candidates.
