Jharkhand TET 2024: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Ranchi, has extended the last date to register for the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JHTET) 2024. Interested candidates can now fill out the JHTET 2024 application by visiting the official website i.e. jactetportal.com. till 30 August 2024.
Earlier, the application window was going to be closed on 22 August 2024. It was later extended to 26 August 2024. The registration process for the exam began on 23 July 2024. The Jharkhand TET is conducted for candidates seeking teaching jobs in Jharkhand Government schools, Primary teachers must qualify for Paper I to teach Classes 1 to 5 whereas Passing Paper II is necessary for teaching Classes 6 to 8.
According to the official notice, “In response to requests from candidates, a final opportunity has been provided, and the new deadline for submitting the application form is now from August 29, 2024, to August 30, 2024, until 5:00 PM. The remaining terms and conditions of notification number 30/2024 will remain unchanged.”

Jharkhand TET 2024: Age limit
For Paper I, the minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years. For Paper II, the minimum age of the candidate should be 21 years. However, there are no upper age limit requirements for either post.

Jharkhand TET 2024: Age limit

Candidates must have passed the 12th class (with at least 50 percent marks in aggregate OR a 2-year Diploma or 4-year Graduation degree in Elementary Education).
For Paper II
Candidates must have passed Graduation with a B.Ed degree/2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR Bachelor’s degree of Science/Arts and Bachelor’s of Education (Integrated).

For Paper I

- Then click on the application link available on the home page.
- Register yourself and fill out the application form.
- Pay the required fees and click on submit.
- Save the confirmation page and take a printout for future reference.
