Jamia Millia Islamia is going to launch innovation clubs to inspire and enable its students to explore their creativity and engineering skills in a competitive and entertaining manner.
The "Innovation Clubs" to be started by the university's Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) will aim at inculcating creativity and innovation among the students, Jamia's media coordinator Mukesh Ranjan said.
The objectives of the club include creating awareness of the unfulfilled needs of the society among the students and prepare them for participation in national and international competitions, he said.
The Centre has invited the university students to apply as interns for these clubs which include Embedded Systems and Robotics Club, Animation and Games Design Club, Programming Club and Biotech Club.
Also, the students may request for formation of a particular club which will be set up after the approval of the authorities concerned, Dr Mukesh said.

The five-week internship period of the clubs is likely to start from June 22.
The selected candidate will be paid a stipend of Rs 5,000 and given a certificate on the successful completion of the internship. The last date of applying for internship will be June 11, he added.
