IGNOU to offer Journalism courses from next session
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is all set to offer courses of Journalism and Mass Communication, the varsity said  on Wednesday.

The university has taken decision to run this course on B.A and M.A level. Both these courses will be run on distance mode, the statement said. There was no course for the students of Journalism in the university yet.

The students were given the opportunity to pursue one year PG diploma course on regular basis, which has been closed now.

IGNOU's School of Journalism and New Media Studies has designed the proposal for BA program course. It has also asked for feedback from experts and students on the same.

According to IGNOU The assessment will be done via the feedback form  that what should be the course structure at  BA level  for journalism and how the course will be based on the needs of the current structure.

According to the official 'The course of Journalism on MA level will start only form next session where the admission in the B.A level course will take some time.

From the July session the students will be able to take admission in this course as the admission for the January session is already in progress.
