Haryana govt approves notification for admission to BAMS, BHMS
Haryana government on Saturday approved a draft notification for admission in various courses including, BAMS, BHMS in government and private unaided Ayurvedic, Homeopathy and Physiotherapy Institutions in the current academic session.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has approved the notification for admission to Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery, Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Master of Physiotherapy for academic session 2015-16, Health Minister Anil Vij said here on Saturday.

The admission would be conducted as per the State Reservation Policy, Vij said, adding the number of seats and distribution would be final as notified by the Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak at the time of counseling.

The admission under all categories would first be made on the basis of relative Haryana State Merit obtained in Common Entrance Test (CET) 2015 which has been declared as minimum eligibility criteria of proficiency for granting admissions, he said.

In case the CET qualified candidates are not available then the seats would be filled up by the other candidates on the basis of their relative merit in the qualifying examination of 10+2 or equivalent, he said.

The admissions to BAMS course would be held on the basis of relative merit of qualifying exam that is 10+2 with the same eligibility criteria as that of the CET 2015, he said.

He also said that for admissions to BAMS and BHMS in private institutions, 50 per cent of the seats would be of open merit category and remaining 50 per cent would be of management category, as was during last year.

50 seats in BAMS course are available in Shri Krishna Government Ayurvedic College, Kurukshetra which would be filled up by candidates who are residents of Haryana or have cleared their qualifying examination of 10+2 from institutions situated in the state or any such instruction issued by the state government from time to time, he added.
