Delhi University is offering a ten-day research methodology course for SC/ST students from across the country, the expense of which will be borne by Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR).
The refresher course will be conducted for 25 students who will be selected on basis of their knowledge of research and statistical methods.
"The candidates pursuing their doctoral work or planning to engage in research work in social sciences will be eligible to apply for this course," said Dr R B Singh, HOD of DU's Geography department, which will be conducting the course.
The candidates will be provided training in areas including fundamentals of social science research, qualitative research, quantitative research, use of computer and internet, foundation of statistical tools, remote sensing and geographical information system.

The travel and accommodation expenses of the candidates will also be reimbursed. The applicants need to submit their research proposal and copy of caste certificate by end of this week.
"The applications have to be forwarded by the candidates' respective supervisors or institutions," he said.
