DU Admission : Online application to start earlier for 2015-16 session
Delhi University (DU) is all set likely to kick start an earlier application process of undergrduate admission for the academic session 2015-16.

It is expected that DU will kick off online application process before offline.

If this proposal gets a nod then students would be able to avail the option of online application from last week of May. The administration wants to make online application process more popular than offline.

According to sources, Since last two years the applicants have shown more interest in applying online. During this tenure the number of applicants has also got a surge.

The source also said that "The preparation is being done to begin online admission process from May 25."

The final decision will be taken by a 23-member committee who is working on the admission policies and according to sources many are of the view that after the postgraduate admissions, the registration for undergraduate admissions should also be completely online.

If Online application process starts earlier this will certainly effect offline process. In case of starting online and offline application process on the same date it creates a chaos and students as well as parents rush out in huge number for offline application form.

The Committee will hold a meeting to discuss all the issues regarding undergraduate admission on April 10.

The admissions will start from May. DU admits 54,000 undergraduate students in various courses across colleges. Centralized online application process for PG courses has already started.
