DU Admission Date Extends, Students Can Apply Based on Last Year's Criteria

The Delhi High Court directed Delhi University and the University Grants Commission (UGC) to allow students to apply for the admission to the undergraduate courses at the university for the current academic session based on the eligibility criteria of 2018-19.

The application process for the DU Admission has been extended by the Branch of Justices Anu Malhotra and Talwant Singh.
The students who wish to apply for the admissions can visit the official website and ally till June 22, 2019. 

According to the latest data provided by DU, 3,37,947 candidates have registered on the Delhi University's website for admission to UG. 

Out of a total of 3.31 lakh, 2,34,088 candidates have paid their fees. Only candidates who have paid their fees will be allowed to continue in the admission process.

Out of the total number of registrations, 1,39,371 candidates are from the unreserved category, 49,172 other backward classes, 31,281 scheduled castes, 6,444 scheduled tribes and 7,820 from the economically weaker section (EWS).

Various colleges affiliated with the varsity, including top-ranked St. Stephens College, Hindu College, SRCC, LSR and Miranda College, are expected to release the first cut-off list on June 20, a week after the conclusion of the registration process. But, now with the expected changes in the deadline, the cut-off dates will be postponed.
