du - PC : self
The Delhi University aspirants, who are not from the schools which are affiliated to the CBSE, have to face a deduction of marks. The University is deducting 2.5% marks of students. The admission process ended on Monday except for Andhra Pradesh Board.

The rules for deduction of marks are:
- DU is not considering Accounts of ISC board equal to the Accountancy of the CBSE.
If students are calculating marks including accounts in their ‘best of four’ subjects will face a 2.5% of deduction in the aggregate.

- Students who have studied Zoology and Botany as a separate paper in Biology, DU will consider it two different subjects.  If students are including those subjects in ‘best of four’, they also have to face a 2.5% deduction of marks.

-  `Civics of ISC is not equivalent to Political Science of the CBSE. The students, who are applying in Political Science (Hons) by including Civics in their ‘best of four’ subject, will face the deduction of 2.5% of marks.

- According to DU, Rajasthan Board’s Hindi Sahitya is not equal to the CBSE’s Hindi. The reason is the differentiation of nomenclature.

- Nagaland State Board’s subject ‘Fundamental of Business’ is equal to the ‘Business Mathematics.’ But it is not equal to Mathematics. If students are including Mathematics in their ‘best of four’ subjects will also face the 2.5% deduction in marks.

In DU, while calculating the percentage of best of four subjects, candidates have to include;
- A language as core Subject
- 3 Elective or Academic Subject
- For Language subject, students have to include either Hindi or English as a core subject in ‘best of four subjects.

While giving a reason of deduction of marks, a member of the admission Committee said the content of these subjects is not similar to the CBSE’s subjects.

The same admission process took place in 2015.

The second Cut-off will be released on July 4, 2019. Document Verification, approval of admission and payment of fee will be accepted from July 4, 2019-July 6, 2019.
