Delhi University Second Cut-off Released, Maximum Admissions for Political Science  are Closed

Delhi University has released its second cut-off list for Undergraduate admission. This cut-off list may bring some relief for aspirants. Some universities have dropped the marks of the cut-off list as 5% in some popular courses.

The seats for most popular course Political Science and many courses are almost closed in top colleges.

Admission for second cut-off will start from Thursday, July 4, 2019, to Saturday, July 6, 2019. Students can check the cut-off list on the college’s official website.

Second cut-off list of some popular courses in popular colleges:

- Kirori Mal College has closed the admission for most of the Honors degree courses except English, Hindi and Economics.

- English (H), is still open in 39 colleges out of 46 in the second cut-off list.

- For EWS students, Cut-off percentage is 1% less than the last cutoff list. After the decision of 10% reservation by HRD Ministry, this is the first time that DU has set its cut-off list for the EWS category.

- The demanded course Political Science, provided by 44 colleges, now open for admission in general category only in 24 colleges. Hindu college has closed admission for Political Science at 99%.

- In Chemistry, offered in 24 colleges, seats were filled only in Hindu College and Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College.

- The Mata Sundri College for Women in its second cut-off has given relaxation of 2% to 3% in BCom Hons and BA Pol Science (H) course. BA Programme had a significant decline from 86% to 78% in a second list.
 
- The North Campus has its own shine and thus there is not so much decline in the cut-off lists.
 
- For Journalism course, Maharaja Agrasen College has marked 95% in the second cut-off list. Delhi College of Arts & Commerce has marked Journalism cut-off at 97.25.
 
Delhi University has got maximum registration for popular courses.

For BA (Hons) English course 14,297 students were registered and for BA (Hons) Political Science 130240 students were applied.
 
Number of Available Seats in DU Colleges
In First Cut-off, which was released on June 27, 2019, around 23,000 students have got admission. Now, over 40,000 seats are left open for which the list of lower marks will be released.

- In Janki Devi Memorial College, 108 seats are filled out of 1,264.
- Mata Sundri College has total 1,146 in which 368 seats are filled.
- In Sri Aurobindo College, 392 seats are filled out of 1,068.
 
The eligible students can book their seats. They have to pay a fee for it. If any student, who has booked a seat under first cut-off, is getting a preferred choice under the second list, they have a choice to switch as well.

Date: July 9, 2019
Document Verification, approval of admission and payment of fee will start from July 9, 2019, till July 11, 2019.
 
Fourth Cut-off List
Date: July 15, 2019
Document Verification, approval of admission and payment of fee will start from July 15, 2019, till July 17, 2019.
 
Fifth Cut-off List
Date: July 20, 2019
Document Verification, approval of admission and payment of fee will start from July 20, 2019, till July 23, 2019.
