The notification released by TN TRB, titled 'Annual Recruitment Planner', mentions the tentative dates for the conduct of various recruitment examinations for filling several vacancies, such as PG Assistants, teachers, SCERT lecturers, Assistant Professors and others. In the notification, the tentative dates for the Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test 2022 (TNTET 2022) have been mentioned as August/September 2022. However, the official examination conducting body has not notified about the number of vacancies that are to be filled through the recruitment drive for the current year.

TNTET 2022: Exam Pattern
 
The TNTET 2022 exam will comprise two papers: Paper I and Paper II. Detailed information about both papers has been provided below.
 
Paper I Details:
  • Number of sections: 5
  • Subjects in Paper I: Language I, Language II, Maths, Environmental studies, Child development and pedagogy
  • Exam duration: 2.5 hours
  • Total number of questions asked: 150
  • Nature of questions: Multiple choice questions (MCQs)
  • Marking scheme: +1 for every correct answer, 0 marks for incorrect answers
Paper II Details:
  • Number of sections: 4
  • Subjects in Paper II: Language I, Language II, Maths and Science or Social studies, Child development and pedagogy
  • Exam duration: 2.5 hours
  • Total number of questions asked: 150
  • Nature of questions: MCQs
  • Marking scheme: +1 for every correct answer, 0 marks for wrong answers
About TNTET Exam:

The Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test (TNTET) is conducted annually for recruiting eligible candidates to the posts of teacher in schools affiliated to Tamil Nadu board. Candidates are free to appear either for Paper I, or Paper II, or both of them, as per their preference.

Those candidates who are desirous of teaching students from Class I till Class VI are required to appear for Paper I, while candidates interested in teaching students from Class VI till Class VIII must appear for Paper II. The scores obtained in TNTET are valid for the entire lifetime.
