UGC NET December 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the application window for the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) December 2024 (UGC NET December 2024). Interested candidates can apply for the exam by visiting the ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
The candidates may note that the application window will remain open till 10 December 2024. However, the last date to pay the exam fee is 11 December 2024. Applicants must ensure they have filled in all the correct details on their online application such as email address, and mobile number, as all the details regarding the exam will be communicated through the same.
The UGC NET Dec 2024 will be conducted from 1 to 19 January 2025. The exam will last 180 minutes (3 hours). The exam is held to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship (LS) /Assistant Professor in Indian Universities and Colleges. NTA will conduct UGC NET December 2024 for 85 subjects in computer-based test (CBT) mode.

The application fee for general category candidates is Rs 1,150 for EWS, and OBC categories is Rs 600, and other category candidates have to pay Rs 325.

The candidates having at least 55% marks and 50% marks for reserved category in their master’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university in subjects including humanities (including languages), social science, computer science, applications, electronic science, etc. can appear for the exam.
