NEET UG 2022: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct the country’s biggest and most prominent medical undergraduate exam, NEET UG 2022, tomorrow on July 17. Various exam centers have been set up across the country to ensure the smooth conduct of the exam, which is the gateway to admissions in medical courses offered by various government and private institutions of the country. Ahead of the exam, the candidates slated to appear in it must go through the guidelines issued by the NTA. All such guidelines have been mentioned herewith.
NEET UG 2022: Number of Candidates Registered

As per statistics, a total of 18 lakh candidates are registered to appear in the NEET UG 2022 examination. The exam will advance at 497 exam centers laid across the country and at 14 centres outside the country.
 
NEET UG 2022: Exam Timings and Pattern
 
The NEET UG 2022 exam will begin at 2 pm and will conclude at 5:20 pm. The exam will be conducted in the pen-paper mode for a duration of 3 hours and 20 minutes. Candidates' knowledge will be tested in three subjects - Physics, Chemistry and Biology. A total of 200 questions will be asked in the paper, out of which 180 must be attempted.
 
Maximum marks to be awarded in the paper are 720. 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer, while every wrong answer will take away one mark from the candidates' score. No marks will be awarded for unattempted questions.
 
NEET UG 2022: Exam Day Guidelines
 
Candidates must go through the exam day guidelines at length, in order to avoid any troubles before the exam, as well as during the exam.
  1. Candidates must report to the exam centre at least one hour prior to the time scheduled for the commencement of the examination.
  2. At the exam centre, the candidates will be required to produce documents such as the NEET UG 2022 hall ticket, a passport size photograph (the one uploaded during NEET Application form filling), a valid photo ID proof and PwD certificate (if applicable).
  3. All the candidates will be seated according to the roll number order. Thus, they must abide by the invigilator's instructions and must occupy only the designated seats.
  4. The candidates will be video recorded at the exam centre. Hence, they must ensure to be in the camera frame when it approaches them.
  5. The examination centre is not liable to safeguard the possessions of the candidates. Therefore, the candidates must refrain from carrying extra items to the examination centre.
  6. No candidate must possess any prohibited items inside the examination hall, such as mobile phones, earphones, tablets, bluetooth devices, digital watches or study material like blank paper sheets, books, notebooks etc.
  7. Malpractices such as cheating, copying etc will not be tolerated and shall lead to the cancellation of candidature.
  8. Candidates must not leave the exam hall until the exam concludes. Before leaving the exam hall, they must ensure to hand over their respective OMR sheets to the invigilator.
