The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct the country’s biggest and most prominent medical undergraduate exam, NEET UG 2022, today  on July 17. The examination will decide the fare of over 18,72,341 candidates competing for just over 1.5 lac seats in Medical colleges across.

NTA conducts India's largest and among the toughest examination, NEET UG for admission of students into medical courses. Students who qualifies the examination will have an option to study 10 different courses. Each course will be allotted to the NEET qualified student on the basis of their ranks. This year, a total of 607 medical, 313 dental, 15 AIIMS, 2 JIPMER, 914 AYUSH, and 47 BVSc & AH colleges have participated in the NEET UG examination.

In the previous years entrance  process schedule had gone awry because of the covid pandemic. However, it is expected that NTA will regularise the schedules after the successful conclusion of the NEET-UG 2022 by releasing the score card and cut-off for examination in a definite time period. 

None the less, the future career paths of nearly 19 lacs students will be decided today.
