The National Testing Agency has successfully concluded the NEET UG 2022. Now aspirants relentlessly await the next processes of the NEET-UG timeline. In this article, we will guide you about the complete admission process, before you secure your seats among one of 90,825 MBBS, 52,720 AYUSH, 27,948 BDS, 603 BVSc, and BSc Nursing seats along with 200 JIPMER MBBS and 1205 AIIMS MBBS seats in 2 JIPMER and 15 AIMS institutions.
Stage 1: NEET UG Answer Key
After the conclusion of the examination, the next process is the release of the provisional Answer Key by the NTA. Coaching Institue across India have already released the answer key for the students but with the official release of the answer key, the candidate will get an opportunity to challenge the answer key if they are unsatisfied answers provided by NTA. Once the Challenge window is closed, NTA will release the final answer key with all the necessary changes.
Stage 2: NEET UG Results 2022
After the release of the final answer key, NTA will declare the Results of all the candidates who appeared in the NEET UG 2022. Along with it, NTA will also announce the merit list for the NEET UG 2022. The score acquired by the candidate will decide the course and college available for the candidate. The NEET UG-2022 results is expected to be released by the mid- August
Stage 3: NEET UG Cut-off
Along with the results, NTA will also declare the cut-off for the Examination. It is the minimum required by the candidate to qualify the NEET UG 2022. There are two types of Cut off marks - Qualifying Cut-off and Admission Cut-off. The qualifying cut-off is the marks a candidate must score to qualify the exams while the admission cut-off is the last rank at which admission will be granted to a candidate.
Generally, the NEET cutoff percentile for the general category is 50th and for SC/ST/OBC it is between 40th-45th. The NEET qualifying cutoff scores 2022 will be released along with the result by NTA @neet.nta.nic.in. The NEET UG 2022 cut-off is most likely to be released in the 3rd week of August.
Stage 4: NEET UG Counselling Process
Once the NEET UG results and cut-off are declared by NTA, The Medical Counselling Committee(MCC) will commence the Counselling process for admission. MCC is responsible for conducting the NEET counselling process on behalf of DGHS (Directorate General of Health Sciences) for facilitating the allocation of NEET seats at the State and All India Level (AIQ).
The NEET counselling is conducted in multiple rounds. Candidates will be allowed to apply to those around if they are unsatisfied with the college they are allotted in their counselling round.
