The Education Minister has asked all the states to start the process of evaluation of copies of board examinations conducted in their own state. The Education Minister has also asked the Central Board of Secondary Education to facilitate the evaluation process of answer sheets in the states.
It is to be noted that earlier the Education Minister had said that the remaining examinations of the board would be conducted immediately after the lockdown was over. He said this during an online discussion with students and parents on Monday. The Education Minister had also advised students to use online platforms so that studies are not interrupted during the lockdown. He said that students should use the time available during the lockdown.
The Central School of Secondary Education (CBSE) high school and intermediate examinations was commenced on February 15, 2020. The CBSE Class 12th board exam was scheduled to end on March 30, 2020, and the CBSE Class 10th board exam will end on March 20, 2020. But due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the examination which was scheduled to be conducted from March 19 to March 31, 2020, was postponed.
