The application forms for VITEEE 2019 will begin from November 1, 2018, as per Vellore Institute of Technology University (VIT) notification.
The forms will be available both online and offline. For the online applications, aspirants can check the official website of the university i.e. vit.ac.in from November 1, 2018.
The offline applications will be available only in certain post offices and VIT campus.
The list of the post office will be declared soon by the institute.
There are various courses offered at VIT Vellore Campus, Chennai Campus, VIT-Bhopal and VIT- Andhra Pradesh Campus, for the admissions of which VIT Engineering Entrance Examination is held every year.
A range of options to pursue their Under-graduation degree is offered to students based on their merits.
Currently, around 36 courses are offered by the institute.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Criteria: the candidate appearing for the exam should not be less than 17 years in age as on July 1, 2019.
Educational Criteria: the candidates appearing for the VITEEE must have or should be appearing in 2019 for the 10+2 higher secondary exam from any recognized board.
The aspirants belonging to general category must have scored an aggregate of 60% in PCM for the qualifying exam and an aggregate of 50% in PCM/B in class 12 for the candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
Note: all the admissions are done through counseling procedure, there are no agents or consultant has been appointed for the same.
Exam Pattern
In order to clear the exam, a candidate should know the pattern of the paper.
The exam is likely to be conducted in the 2nd or 3rd week of April 2019, which is held in three sections of the day.
Session one is conducted in the first part of the day i.e. from 9 am to 11:30 am, session 2 is conducted in the mid part of the day i.e. from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm and session three is conducted in the evening from 4 pm to 6:30 pm.
The paper will consist of total 120 marks divided into the different sections.
The candidate will get 2hrs 30 minutes to complete the test.
The paper will a computer-based examination and the questions will be presented only in English.
It will be divided into four parts consisting of English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology.
All the questions will objective type carrying 1 mark each and there will be negative marking.
Results
After the exam, the results will be declared on the official site.
