UPSC Prelims 2022: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has shut down the registration window for UPSC Prelims 2022. Ahead of the UPSC Civil Services exam (CSE), slated to be held on June 5, 2022, the Commission has released an important notice regarding exam centre change. Candidates who have registered for the Civil Services exam can go through the released notice on the official website of the Commission at upsc.gov.in.
About UPSC CSE 2022:

On June 5, 2022, the UPSC Civil Services exam will be held alongside the Indian Forest Service Preliminary exam (IFS exam). The official notice released in regard to the exam centre change states that those IAS aspirants, who are appearing in the exam from Himachal Pradesh, especially from Dharamshala and Mandi, are free to submit their revised choice of examination centre.

However, the Commission has further clarified that the aforesaid request will only be entertained as per the capacity allotted to a particular exam centre. Moreover, the revised centres will be allotted on a "First come, First allot" basis.

The official notice released by UPSC on centre change reads, "Candidates must note that their requests for examination centre change will be subject to "First come, First allot basis". Once an examination centre attains its maximum capacity, the same will be frozen and will be unavailable for the left-out candidates. Thereafter, the candidates are required to choose their examination centre from the remaining ones.
