The examination for the UPSC Prelims 2020 has been postponed by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
The exam has been postponed due to ongoing coronavirus outbreak followed by the Pan-India lockdown, which has been extended till May 17, 2020.

A notice has been released regarding the same on the official website i.e. upsc.gov.in.
The examination for the UPSC Prelims 2020 was scheduled to be conducted on May 31, 2020. However, now the exam has been postponed until further notice.

The candidates who applied for the exam can visit the official website and check the updates.
To review the situation after the second phase of the nation-wide lockdown, due to Covid-19, a special meeting was held on May 4, 2020.
The meeting was chaired by Arvid Saxena. The commission introspected that to resume examination and interviews will not be possible in the present.

The schedule for the Indian Forest Service Examination is also deferred, as this examination also serves as the screening test for the Indian Forest Service Examination. The situation will be reviewed again on May 20, 2020, and fresh dates for these examinations shall be notified on the UPSC website in due course.
