Most of the students fail to get high marks that they actually deserve. This is because of several reasons.  The most important reason is concentration. 
Concentration is said to be good if you have a good capacity to focus on a certain thing. Students should always develop and improve their concentration. So, it is not too difficult to take out 10 to 15 minutes of time on a daily basis to practice some exercises to improve your concentration power.

Tips to improve concentration as follows: 

Hold an Object
Take an object and hold it in your palms. Stretch your hand and put your arm directly in front of you. Now fix your eyes upon the object. Make sure to keep the arm so steady that you do not observe any movement. This exercise using the other hand of yours.
This exercise develops a control over your involuntary muscular movement. 

Breathing
Press one finger against your right nostril and take a deep breath. Breathe in gently from left nostril and then expel the breath through the right nostril. Repeat this with the other nostril. This exercise should be done for a minimum 20 rounds.
