UGC NET 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to close the registration window for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) today, 10 May. Interested candidates can submit their application forms on the official website (ugcnet.nta.ac.in).
The registration window for this exam was opened on 20 April and will close tonight at 11:50 PM, 10 May, 2024.
Candidates must note that the deadline of the UGC NET 2024 payment window will remain open till 12 May, 2024.
UGC NET 2024: Documents required for registration
- Class 10th mark sheet
- Class 12th mark sheet
- Qualifying degree certificate
- Passport size identical photo
- Signature
- Valid photo Id
- Category certificate
- Caste certificate
UGC NET 2024 Applications: Correction window
- After the registration window closes, NTA will open a correction window.
- Candidates can use this window to amend their application details.
- The correction window will be available from 13 May - 15 May, 2024.
UGC NET 2024: Application fees
- Candidates interested in applying for the UGC NET exam will need to pay the application fee according to their category.
- General category candidates are required to pay a fee of ₹1150.
- Other Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) candidates need to pay a fee of ₹600.
- Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Transgender candidates are required to pay a fee of ₹325 as the application fee.

- Firstly, visit the official website at (ugcnet.nta.nic.in.).
- Then, click on the "Apply for UGC NET June 2024" link available on the homepage.
- A new tab for UGC NET registration or login will appear.
- Fill out the NET registration form by providing the necessary information.
- After registration, fill out the UGC NET application form 2024.
- Upload necessary documents, pay the application fee, and submit.
- Take a printout of the application form for future reference.
