The Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) 2019 will begin its online registrations from October 9, 2018.
IIT Bombay will be conducting UCEED examination this year. The exam is scheduled to be on January 19, 2019, across the country in around 24 cities from 10 am to 1 pm.
The admissions will be provided at IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati and IIITDM Jabalpur to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes through this exam.
Important Dates
Registration start date: the online applications will be released on October 9, 2018, the interested candidates can register themselves for the exam.
Last date for registration: interested candidates can apply for the exam till November 9, 2018.
Late date for registration with late fees: the candidates can register themselves till November 16, 2018, but will have to deposit the late fees after November 9.
Examination date: the exam will be conducted on January 19, 2019.
Results: the results will be announced tentatively on March 1, 2019.
Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: Indian/Foreign and Overseas Citizen of India/ Person of Indian Origin) cardholders can appear for UCEED
Age Criteria: to appear for the examination the aspirants should be born on or after October 1, 1994, if belonging to the general category. As for SC/ST/PWD category, the aspirants should be born on or after October 1, 1989.
Educational Criteria: the candidate must have cleared class 12 with any subject from a recognized Board in 2018 or 2019.

Across the country, the UCEED 2019 will be held in 24 cities. The cities to conduct the exam will be Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Ernakulam, Panaji, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, and Vishakhapatnam.
The exam will be conducted in Dubai apart from these cities.
Schedule for the Exam
UCEED is a computer examination based on the test center. It will be three hours long paper.
The date for the exam is tentatively scheduled to be held on January 19, 2019, from 10 am to 1 pm.
Exam Pattern
The paper will be of 300 marks which will be divided into three sections: Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions, Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
The question paper will be provided only in English.
