SSC Stenographer: Exam Pattern (Phase - I)
- The SSC Stenographer (Phase - I) exam will be held on Computer-based mode (CBT).
- The question paper will be of objective type multiple-choice (MCQs).
Candidates should note that there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

SSC Stenographer: Exam Pattern (Phase - II)
The candidates who are shortlisted in the computer-based examination for next stage will have to appear for the Skill Test in Stenography.
The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English and Hindi based on the language opted by the candidates in the online application form. The expected speed is 100 words per minute for the post of Stenographer Grade 'C' and 80 words per minute for the post of Stenographer Grade 'D'.
