IBPS RRB 2019 Exam Paper Pattern

To begin with, you must know that the IBPS RRB 2019 exam is conducted online and it includes five main subjects, viz. General Awareness, English OR Hindi, Reasoning, Computer Awareness and Quantitative Aptitude. All these subjects carry equal numbers of questions, but different marks. The time duration for each subject in the exam. 

IBPS RRB 2019 Officer Grade Exam is conducted in 3 different phases:
- Preliminary Exam
- Mains Exam
- Interview Process

The IBPS RRB 2019 paper for Office Assistant and Officers’ post will contain 80 questions of 80 marks. The time limit is 45 minutes. The candidates appearing for these posts should qualify the test and get the minimum cut-off to reach the next level.

After the exam, the candidates shall be selected for the Online Main Examination, depending upon the requirements and the mark they have scored in the Prelims paper. 

Candidates (for both posts) have to qualify in both the tests by securing minimum cut-off marks. The adequate number of candidates in each category, depending upon requirements, will be shortlisted for Online Main Examination.

Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to All- Preliminary, Main and Single Level Examination) 

There will be the penalty for wrong answers marked in the objective tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate; there will be no penalty for that question.

It is important to note that Prelims is your gateway to the Mains paper. Once you have cleared this exam, you need to start your preparation for the Mains. It is not a tough nut to crack the Prelims exam and with thorough practice, ample revision and mock tests and good study material, you can reach the cut-off.
