NEET PG 2024: The NEET-PG examination, initially set for June 23 this year, has been postponed, and a new date will be announced soon, the health ministry stated on Saturday.

The Ministry of Health officially notified that it sincerely regrets the inconvenience caused to the students. This decision has been taken in the best interests of the students and to maintain the sanctity of the examination process.

The Sharad Pawar-led NCP (SP) has criticized the postponement of the NEET-PG entrance exam, calling it a "failure" of the central government and accusing it of jeopardizing the lives of aspirants. The opposition party also called for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, citing "mismanagement and malpractice" in the examination process.

"The government's failure to perform its duties is endangering the lives and futures of children," stated NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) national spokesperson Clyde Crasto on Saturday. The Union Health Ministry announced it has decided to postpone the NEET-PG entrance examination, originally scheduled for Sunday, as a "precautionary measure" following recent allegations concerning the integrity of several competitive exams. This is the fourth entrance exam to be affected in recent days.

In response to the removal of National Testing Agency (NTA) Director General Subodh Singh amidst allegations of irregularities in the NEET and NET competitive exams, Clyde Crasto remarked that Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan cannot escape responsibility for failing to perform his duties. Crasto asserted that Pradhan should resign and take accountability for the widespread mismanagement and malpractices in the country's examination process.
