MP Board 5th, 8th Exam 2025 guidelines: The School Education Department, Madhya Pradesh has issued guidelines mentioning that examinations of class V and VII standard conducted in government schools, government-aided schools, private schools (recognised) and Madrasahs will be based on the syllabus prescribed by NCERT, according to media reports. The instructions will be applicable in the upcoming academic year (2024-25) and have been forwarded to all the District Collectors. It should be mentioned that private schools will prepare the question papers themselves on the basis of the blueprint prescribed by the state.

The Rajya Shiksha Kendra Madhya Pradesh (RSKMP) has declared the MP Board Class 5th, 8th Result 2024 on April 23, 2024. The pass percentage for MP Board 5th class students is 90.97%, while for 8th class MP Board students it is 87.71%. This year, around 24 lakh students appeared for the MP Board 5th and 8th exams 2024, with over 12 lakh students in Class 5th and over 11 lakh students in Class 8th.

The MP Board class 8 pass rate for students in government schools is 86.22%, while the pass rate for students in private schools is 90.60%. In class 5th, 89.62% of boys and 92.41% of girls passed the MP Board exam. Whereas in class 8th, the pass percentage of boys was recorded as 85.94% and that of girls was 89.56%. The MP Board class 8 pass rate for students in government schools is 86.22%, while the pass rate for students in private schools is 90.60%. 

The performance of rural schools in classes 5th and 8th was better than urban schools. In class five, the pass percentage in rural schools was 92.60%, while in urban schools only 86.19% of children passed. Similarly, 88.35 percent of children in rural schools passed in class 8th. At the same time, only 86.04 percent of children in urban schools passed 8th class.

Students must score a minimum of 33 marks in each subject to pass the MP Board Class 5th and 8th exam. The overall passing criteria is 33%. Students who fail to obtain the minimum passing marks can appear for the improvement exams.
