Maharashtra Board exam news: The Maharashtra Government, in its latest decision, has allowed the students who have not administered their respective vaccine doses to appear for Class 10, 12 State board exams 2022. The State Education department released an official notification which stated, "No schools or high schools should compel their students to administer vaccine doses. Board exams will be open for all students, irrespective of the fact that they will be vaccinated or not."
However, adding to the statements, Maharashtra government has directed the schools to encourage their students for vaccination to observe their own safety. Notably, the practical examinations of the students of Class 10 and 12 have already begun.
The state board exams for Class 12 students will commence from March 4 to continue till April 30, 2022 while their practicals have begun from February 14 and will end on March 3, 2022. For the convenience of the students, the board has also announced the dates for 'Out of turn' exams between March 31 and April 18, for the students who are unable to appear for exams on the aforesaid dates due to any reason. During the course of the 'Out of turn' exams, practical, oral and internal examinations would be held for such students.
The Maharashtra state board exams would be conducted in the offline mode only, despite students' rigorous protests to hold exams in the online mode. Addressing a press conference earlier, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) had clearly stated that the exams for Class 10 and 12 students will advance in the offline mode only.
They further added that there will be no change in the examination dates as announced earlier.
