KEA PGCET 2024 First Round Option Entry: Events, Date and Time schedule
Option Entry (Priority of Options) by eligible candidates commenced from 8.00 pm on 30-10-2024: Portal will closes on November 8, 2024 at 6.00 pm
Publication of Mock Allotment Results: November 9, 2024 after 1.00 pm Provision to change option entry by eligible candidates
(After verifying the Mock Allotment results, candidates are free to change, reorder, delete and add to their choices of courses / colleges as per their preference.): From 2.00 pm November 9, 2024 To November 12, 2024 up to 11.00 am
Publication of first round real seat allotment Result: November 12, 2024 after 6.00 pm
Exercising Choices by the seat allotted candidates in consultation with their parents: From 11.00 am on November 13, 2024 to November 14, 2024 upto 11.59 pm
Payment of fees by Choice 1 and Choice 2 Candidates: From 11.00 am on November 13, 2024 to November 15, 2024 (Banking Working Days/Hours)
Last Date for Reporting at the Allotted Colleges (Choice -1 Candidates Only) by downloading the Admission Order and along with all the originals as per Verification slip: November 16, 2024 before 5.30 pm
KEA PGCET 2024 First Round Option Entry Schedule: Here is what official notification says
"Seat matrix issued by the Government for MBA / MCA / M.E. M.Tech / M.Arch courses for the year 2024 is hosted on the KEA Website for the information of the candidates. As per the seat matrix issued by the Government, seat Allotment will be made by following the Roster System based on the Merit / Rank of the candidate and based on priority of options entered by the candidates," read the official notification.
It should be noted that candidates are advised not to start entering the options directly on the online option form on the internet without preparatory work at home on choice of options, as it leads to commission of mistakes / wrong entries / wrong order of preferences. The candidate should note the name of the college, the course offered in a separate sheet of paper. The priority of options among the colleges selected should be noted down. A candidate can enter any number of options as he / she wishes to exercise on his / her own priority. Candidate shall enter the options for all the discipline at once. If the candidate is eligible for multiple disciplines i.e., both for MBA and MCA or MBA and M.E. / M.Tech or M.Tech and MCA, options can be exercised for all the discipline in the same entry form.
The candidates are advised to attend the counseling only if they have the requisite percentage of marks in the qualifying examination. (i.e., should have obtained 50% of aggregate minimum marks taken together in all the subjects for all the years of the Degree examination. 45% of aggregate marks in all the subjects for all the years in the Degree examination in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST and Category-l. Further, only the candidates of Karnataka origin will be eligible to claim reservation). Therefore, mere assignment of merit / a rank to a candidate does not confer any right to select a seat.
Academic Eligibility / admissions to Colleges/ Seat Allotments made shall be subject to rules/conditions specified from time to time / approval by AICTE, COA, Government, VTU, Concerned University, Apex Bodies, etc.
KEA will reserves the right to withdraw any such admission made at any point of time which is not fulfilling the eligibility criteria / regulations fixed by the Competent Authority from time to time.
