The Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education, JKBOSE has announced to cancel the class 11th and 12th board examinations this year. The announcement to cancel the Jammu and Kashmir State Board Exams 2021 has been made by the Lt Governor of J&K, Manoj Sinha. The decision has been taken in view of the safety and well-being of students due to COVID-19 pandemic. 

The official tweet reads, "In view of safety and well-being of students due to Covid pandemic, all pending JKBOSE Examinations session 2020-21 (Regular/Private) for final exams of class XI and XII across JKUT for which examination/results are awaited, are cancelled." Further the LG of J&K has stated in his tweet that the detailed procedure for publishing results alongwith a scheme of marking will be completed by JKBOSE shortly.
 
Earlier, the remaining class X board exams was cancelled by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Secondary Education, JKBOSE. While the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir has announced to postpone the JKBOSE Class 11 and class 12 exams until the situation turns conducive.
