More than 14 lakh students across the country are set to take the JEE (mains) this month. The computer-based version of paper 1 will start from Wednesday.

Joint Entrace Examination, online exam is scheduled to take place on April 9, 11, 12 and 19 all across the country.

The JEE exam will be held across 235 cities in the country. According to a statement issued on CBSE's website it said that The first slot of exam will begin at 9:30 am and end at 12:30 pm. The second slot, on the other hand will begin at 2 pm and finish at 5 in the evening.

About 14 lakh students appeared for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2014, conducted by the (CBSE) on Sunday (April 06) .

Students who clear the exam will be eligible to take admission in the undergraduate engineering programmes in NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutes in India.

The exam was held at 150 centres across the country and the result will be declared May 3.

Scores of the test will determine admission to centrally-funded technical institutions, including NITs and IIITs. The scores will also shortlist the top 1.5 lakh candidates who can take the JEE (Advanced) for admission to the 16 IITs across the country.
