IIT JEE Advanced  2024: The Indian institute of technology, Madras ( IIT Madras ), is going to start the online application process for Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2024, today, 27 April (5 p.m.). Eligible candidates can access the application form 2024 by visiting the official IIT JEE website. 


Note that the online registration for candidates who are foreign nationals, including those who obtained a Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) or Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) card on or after 4 March, 2021, has already been opened from 16 April, 2024. 

 

It is important that Eligible candidates, who have qualified in the JEE Main and secured a rank in the top 2.5 lakh, will be able to apply for the IIT JEE Advanced exam, which is a crucial step towards securing admission into prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). 

 

The JEE Advanced 2024 examination is set to be conducted on 26 May, 2024. The exam will be taken in two shifts: Paper I from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Paper II from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.  

 

Candidates would be able to download their admit card from 17 May, 2024, onwards. The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) administer the JEE Advanced exam to candidates seeking admission to a variety of programmes.

 

Candidates must note that through the JEE Advanced entrance exam 2024, they will be offered Admission into undergraduate bachelor's, integrated master's, and bachelor-master dual degree programs in engineering, sciences, and architecture by IITs. 

 

JEE Advanced 2024 Registration

  • According to the official schedule, the registration window for the JEE-qualified candidates will remain open from today onwards till 7 May at 5 pm.
  • Candidates must select eight exam cities of their preference during online registration.

  • SC, ST, PwD, and Female Candidates:
    • Application fee: Rs 1,600
  • All Other Candidates:
    • Application fee: Rs 3,200

 

IIT JEE Advanced  2024: Exam details

  • Exam Date: 26 May, 2024
  • Paper Format: Two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2
  • Duration: Each paper will be conducted for three hours
  • Compulsory Participation: Appearing in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 is mandatory
  • Exam Timings: Paper 1: 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon, and Paper 2: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
  • Additional Time for PwD Candidates: PwD candidates with 40% disability will be allotted an extra one hour to complete the exam.

  • Firstly, candidates need to visit the official website at jeeadvdotacdotin. 
  • Then, go to the JEE (Advanced) 2024 registration portal, available on the home page.
  • Next, fill up the application form, upload the required documents.
  • Now pay the application fee and submit. 
  • Download and take a printout for future reference.
