The application process for the entrance examination Common Admission Test (CAT) 2020 is to begin from today i.e. August 5, 2020, by the Indian Institute of Indore. The Indian Institute of Indore has scheduled the examination to be conducted on November 29, 2020. The online registration for the same is to begin from today and is to conclude on September 16, 2020. CAT will be conducted in test centres spread across around 156 test cities. The application forms and all the other details will be available on the official website i.e. iimcat.ac.in.
The candidates who wish to appear for the exam can visit the official website and apply once the forms are out. The Common Admission Test 2020, or CAT 2020, is scheduled to be held on November 29 in two sessions.
IIM CAT 2020: Eligibility Criteria
The candidates must possess Bachelor’s degree with at least 50 per cent marks or equivalent.
The reserve category candidates- Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD), need to hold a minimum 45 per cent marks from the recognised university.
IIM CAT 2020: Paper pattern
The duration of the examination is 180 minutes.
There will be three sections:
Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
Section III: Quantitative Ability

The examination will be of 180 minutes and candidates will be allotted sixty minutes for answering questions in each section and they will be restricted to switch from one section to another. The questions will be in three sections, A. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, B. Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, C. Quantitative Ability.
CAT is a national level entrance examination for admission to more than 600 B-schools across the country. More than two lakh students appear each year for this admission test.
The candidates who qualify this exam will be eligible for the admission to management courses such as PGP, PGDM, PGPEM, EPGP, PGPBM, PGPEX, at various IIMs and other B-schools across the country.
