The registration deadline for GATE 2021 has been extended to October 7 announced by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. IIT Bombay will conduct the GATE exam in February 2021. Candidates will now be able to apply for this examination by October 7 with regular fees. IIT Bombay has extended the application date after several requests from the candidates.
GATE is mandatory for getting admission in Master’s and Doctoral programs in the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). This exam is also used for recruitment in various public sector undertakings (PSUs). Therefore, interested candidates should register themselves on the GATE online application processing system as soon as possible. IIT Bombay has made significant changes in the GATE 2021 exam.
The GATE 2021 exam will be a computer-based exam. All test papers will be objective in this. The pattern of question paper will be different for different subjects. Two new subjects have been added to this exam this year.
This year, two new topics have been introduced to expand the scope of GATE. Apart from this, the exam has also been relaxed in the eligibility criteria. Now students of the third year of graduation will also be able to sit in the GATE exam. Candidates can register in the online application processing system (GOAPS) through the official website of GATE 2021, iitb.ac.in.
Steps to fill the application form for the GATE 2021 exam
- Visit the official website iitb.ac.in.
- Register through name, email ID, and mobile number.
- Create a password after the enrollment number is generated.
- After this fill the application form.
- Fill all the required information and choose the Gate 2021 paper and exam center as per your choice.
- Upload scanned photograph, signature, and category certificate.
