CUET UG Re-exam 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that a re-examination for 1000 CUET-UG candidates will be held on 19 July, 2024. However, no information has been provided regarding the release date of the results.
According to the official notification, complaints received from candidates regarding the CUET (UG) 2024 exam up to June 30, 2024, along with those sent to rescuetug@nta.ac.in between July 7-9 (before 5:00 PM), have been reviewed. Based on these complaints, a re-examination will be conducted on July 19 in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for the affected candidates.
NTA sources have stated that the distribution of question papers in languages not chosen by candidates is one reason for the re-examination. Approximately 1000 candidates spread across six states are affected. Some complaints included time loss due to incorrect question paper distribution. Out of the 1000 candidates for whom NTA is conducting the re-exam, 250 are from Oasis Public School in Hazaribagh, and they are also under investigation for the alleged NEET-UG question paper leak.
NTA released the provisional answer key for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG 2024 on July 7 and announced that if the complaints raised by students are found to be valid, a re-examination would be conducted between July 15-19. It has been more than two weeks since the provisional answer key was released, and the final answer key has yet to be issued. The delay in CUET-UG results comes amid controversies surrounding alleged irregularities in competitive exams like NEET and NET.
