CTET July 2020: The last date of the application process for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2020 has been extended upto March 02, 2020, by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the 14th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on July 5, 2020 (Sunday). 

According to the official notification released by the board, the online application process for CTET July 2020 examination initially started from January 24, 2020, to February 24, 2020, has now been extended till March 02, 2020. The fee can be paid upto March 05, 2020, till 03.30 PM."


The test will be conducted in 20 (Twenty) languages in 112 cities all over the country. The exam will be conducted at two levels, Paper 1 (Primary Stage) and Paper 2 (Elementary Stage). Both the papers will be conducted on a single day in different shifts. 

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) which will be of one mark each. There will be four alternatives out of which only one answer will be correct. There is no negative marking.

CTET July 2020: Eligibility Criteria


The candidate should satisfy his/her eligibility before applying and shall be personally responsible in case he/she is not eligible to apply as per the given eligibility criteria.

Primary Stage (Class I-V)

- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

Secondary Stage (Class VI-VIII)

- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education). 


CTET July 2020: How to Apply


Candidates who are applying for the CTET July 2020 examination can go through the details provided here to apply online.

Step 1: Log on to CTET official website www.ctet.nic.in.
Step 2: Go to the link “Apply Online” and open the same.
Step 3: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down Registration No./Application No.
Step 4: Upload Scanned Images of latest Photograph and Signature
Step 5: Pay Examination Fee by e-challan or debit/credit card and net banking
Step 6: Print Confirmation page for record and future reference.
