With the increase in Coronavirus cases across the country, CBSE, CISCE and many states have postponed Board examinations this year. Students can check the list of Boards and States whose examinations have been postponed till this date.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)

The CBSE Class 10th Board Exams have been cancelled while the new dates for Class 12th Board Exams will be announced by the authorities as per the prevailing circumstances on 1st June 2021. The Board Exams for Class Xth were scheduled to be held from 4th May to June 14th, 2021, and Class XIIth were scheduled to be held from May 4th to June, 14th, 2021. The class 10th result will be announced on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the Board. While the revised exam dates for Intermediate board examinations will be announced on short notice of 15 days before the commencement of the exam.

Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE)

The ICSE (Indian School Certificate Examinations)  and ISC (Indian School Certificate) board exams have been postponed by the Board authorities. According to the CISCE's chief executive and secretary Gerry Arathoon, the new dates for class 10th and 12th board examinations will be notified in the first week of June by monitoring the situation prevailing at that time. The CISCE Board Exams 2021 were scheduled to be held from May 4.

Uttar Pradesh

The Uttar Pradesh government has postponed the UP Board 10th, 12th Exams 2021 in view of rising coronavirus cases across the state. According to information received from board authorities, the UP Board Exam 2021 have been postponed until May 20. State Deputy Chief Minister Dr Dinesh Sharma also informed that it has also been decided to close the schools and colleges up to 12th till May 15 in the state.

Rajasthan

Amid surge in COVID-19 cases, Rajasthan State CM Ashok Gehlot and Education Minister Govind Dotasra announced to postponed the RBSE 10th, 12th Board Exams 2021. In addition, the Chief Minister has announced that students in grades 8th, 9th & 11th will be advanced to the next grade level. According to media reports, the decision on new dates for RBSE class 10th & 12th board examinations would be made after 15 days of assessing the state's corona infection situation.

Odisha

Due to the current situation caused by COVID-19 across the state, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has ordered the state's Class X & XII Board Exams to be postponed until June 2021. While the students of Class 9 and 11 will be promoted to the next class without appearing for any test.  The Government has announced to suspend all examinations and offline classes in universities and colleges coming under the State Higher Education Department from April 19. 

Jharkhand

The practical examination for class 10th has been postponed indefinitely. According to the latest media reports, Chief Minister Hemant Soren called an all-party meeting to make decision on class X, XII Board Exams 2021. Amid COVID-19 pandemic havoc, the Odisha Board examination postponed until the situation turns conducive.

Madhya Pradesh

The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, MPBSE has postponed the exams for High School / Higher Secondary / Higher Secondary Vocational / Diploma in Pre-School Education, physical health, and journalism for one month. As per the latest updates, the Madhya Pradesh Class 10th 12th board examinations have been postponed to the first week of June 2021. The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education released admit cards for the MP Board 10th and 12th exams earlier this week for making changes or improvement in details.

Jammu and Kashmir

The remaining class X exams have been cancelled by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Secondary Education has., JKBOSE. While the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir has announced to postpone the JKBOSE Class 11 exams until the situation turns conducive.

Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, HPBOSE has postponed the Class 10th, 12th Board Exams 2021 in light of an increase in the COVID-19 cases. Along with the board examinations, the State Government has also announced to postpone the Under Graduate examinations to May 17, 2021. The board examinations were scheduled on April 13, 2021, but were postponed due to the rising number of corona infection cases in the state. Exams for graduate level courses were scheduled to begin on April 17th.

The state government will conduct a study of the cases of corona infection in the state on May 1. Following this meeting, the state education department will make a recommendation on board exams for grades 10 and 12 as well as assessments for graduate level courses at all of the state's universities and colleges.

Haryana

The state government has announced to cancel the Haryana Board Class 10th, 12th Exam 2021 in wake of COVID-19 epidemic across the state. According to Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar, the results of students in the 10th Board will be prepared using an internal evaluation procedure while the 12th board examination dates will be announced after monitoring the prevailing situation.

Punjab

The state of Punjab has agreed to cancel the class X annual exams while the class XII board exams have been postponed. The final results of the tenth grade can be announced based on pre-board exams or school internal assessments. the PunjabState Government has announced that the students of classes 5, 8 and 10 will be promoted to the next class without exams.

Maharashtra

The Maharashtra Board SSC, HSC Exams 2021 has been postponed by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, MSBSHSE. As per the latest media reports, the announcement has been made by the Maharashtra State Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad in view of the massive surge in COVID-19 cases across the state. The Maharashtra 12th class board examinations will be conducted by the end of May, and the 10th class board examinations will be held in June. Previously, the MSBSHSE scheduled to conduct the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exam from April 23 to May 21, 2021. While the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams were scheduled from April 29 to May 20, 2021. Simultaneously, students in 7th to 11th grades will be promoted.

Goa

Because of the increasing number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Goa, the state's education department has ordered that 9th and 11th grade exams in higher secondary schools and junior colleges be conducted online. Students would be able to take 9th and 11th grade exams online in remote proctored mode from their homes. While the state government has not made any decision yet on cancelling the Goa Board Class 10th or 12th Exam 2021. The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, GBSHSE 10th & 12th board examinations are scheduled to be held from April 24.

Tamil Nadu

The state's Chief Minister, AD Palaniswami, had announced that the ninth, tenth, and eleventh grade exams would be cancelled and the students would be promoted to the next class without taking the test. The state government has agreed to cancel the exam in the interest of the students' health, safety, and well-being. Students will be promoted to the next grade on the basis of Internal assessment. The students will be given 80% of the numbers based on the results of the quarterly and half-yearly exams, and 20% based on attendance.

Chhattisgarh

With the rising number of cases of corona in the state, the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has decided to postpone the class 10th board exams. The annual examination for 10th grade was expected to begin on April 15, but the board has now postponed them. However, no decision has been made on class 12th board exams.
