The All India Pre-Medical and Pre-Dental Test (AIPMT), 2015 will be re-conducted on July 25, said on Tuesday.

The decision came after Supreme Court directed re-conduct of the test following allegations of large-scale irregularities in the examination held on May 3. Nearly 6.3 lakh candidates had registered for AIPMT, 2015.

"In compliance with the Supreme Court order on June 15 and June 19, CBSE has decided to re-conduct the All India Pre-Medical and Pre-Dental Test 2015 on July 25 (Saturday)," CBSE, which conducts the examination, said in a statement.

"No fresh applications will be accepted for this examination and it will be a retest only in respect of the candidates who had applied within the stipulated time from December 1, 2014 to January 31, 2015 with requisite fee," it stated.

It also advised the candidates to ensure functioning of their email ids and mobile numbers given at the time of submitting their application so as to receive the updates issued by CBSE from time to time.

The details and updates will also be hosted on website www.aipmt.nic.in.

SC directs CBSE to declare AIPMT 2015 result by August 17

The apex court, while hearing petitions alleging large- scale irregularities in the exam, had directed re-conduct of AIPMT, 2015 and declare the results by August 17, observing that the examination has become a "suspect" and there "cannot be any compromise at any cost".

Giving a time-line, it said the first counselling shall be held on or before August 28, the second counselling on or before September 4 and the third counselling on or before September 11.

Haryana Police had nabbed four persons from Rohtak in connection with leak of AIPMT answer keys two days after the test was held. Answer keys to AIPMT questions, SIM cards and Bluetooth hearing devices were also recovered from them.
