CBSE Exam pattern 2022-23: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to alter its pattern for CBSE board exams once again. Efforts are underway to restore the Single Board Exam (SBE) pattern for the students of Class 10 and 12. It is noteworthy that the Term Based Exam (TBE) was introduced by the Board, owing to the complications arising due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
As the virulence of the disease has declined, the board is mulling over the decision to change the examination process once again. Several media reports are also hinting towards the same, after quoting a number of CBSE officials.

CBSE Board Exams: Know what is SBE

Reports claim that the board is likely to land on the decision to conduct the Single Board Exam (SBE) again, as it used to, during the Pre-Covid era. According to the information, the Single Board Exam shall be put into action from the upcoming academic year. Hence, this clearly indicates that the board will scrap the Term Based Examination pattern and the exams will be conducted in a single go.

CBSE Board Exams: Term Based Exam Likely to be Scrapped

CBSE Educator and Educationist, Dr Ranjit Singh, stated that the board did not announce the decision to continue with the Term-based examination format for the upcoming years. He added that this format was brought into force in the thick of the pandemic, keeping in view the complications posed by it.

He continued by saying that the Term based exam format could have been extended, if the situation would have remained the same. However, as the cases subside, the schools are operating in full swing now, following which the Term based exams can be scrapped now. However, there is still some uncertainty regarding the changes in syllabus, to decide about which, discussions will be held with the NCERT officials.
