Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE has postponed class 12th board exams while class 10th board examinations have been cancelled this year. As per the latest media reports, the Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has suggested that the revised dates for CBSE Class 12th Board Exams 2021 will be announced after reviewing the COVID-19 situation in the country on June 1, 2021.
In an earlier announcement, CBSE stated that the revised datesheet for Class 12th Board examinations will be intimated 15 days before the exam. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, CBSE announced to postpone the Class 12th Board Exam 2021 scheduled to be held from 4th May while Class 10th Board Exams 2021 have been cancelled.
The new dates for Class 12th Board Exams will be announced by the authorities after monitoring the prevailing circumstances on 1st June 2021. The revised exam dates for Intermediate board examinations will be announced on short notice of 15 days before the commencement of the exam.
CBSE Objective Criterion
Amid a sudden rise in COVID cases across the country, CBSE Board announced to cancel the Class 10th Exams, this year. However, the Board authorities announced to promote the students in the next grade only on the basis of objective criterion decided by the board.
As per the CBSE objective criteria, the marks of the students will be evaluated by combining the practical examination performance and internal assessment.
