The revised syllabus for the CBSE Class 9 to Class 12 has been released by the HRD Minister Ramesh Pokkhriyal Nishank.
The CBSE Syllabus for this year has been reduced by 30% for Classes 9 to 12, as per the HRD Minister.
In the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the Central government has decided to rationalise school syllabus up to 30 per cent by retaining the core subjects. The education ministry has also advised the national education board Central Board of Secondary education (CBSE) to revise the curriculum and reduce course load for the students of classes 9 to 12.
“Looking at the extraordinary situation prevailing in the country and the world, #CBSE was advised to revise the curriculum and reduce course load for the students of Class 9th to 12th,” Union HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal "Nishank" tweeted.
“Considering the importance of learning achievement, it has been decided to rationalize syllabus up to 30% by retaining the core concepts,” he added.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the Revised Curriculum for the Classes 9 to 12. Students and parents, as well as teachers, can check the revised curriculum for 2021 Classes 9 to 12 on cbseacademic.nic.in. The chapters have not been removed but few portions of the chapters have been deducted.
