The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 notification has been released by the IIM Kozhikode.
This year, CAT 2019 entrance exam will be conducted by IIM-Kozhikode. The entrance exam for admission to management programmes in the 20 IIMs and other top colleges in India. CAT is usually conducted in the month of November.
The detailed official notification has been released. The notification is available on the official website of IIM, i.e., iimcat.ac.in.
The Indian Institutes of Management will conduct the computer-based Common Admission Test 2019 (CAT 2019) on November 24, 2019, in two sessions. Detailed information on CAT 2019 can be obtained from the CAT website.
According to Professor Shubhasis Dey, the official spokesperson of CAT 2019 said, “the registration for CAT 2019 will begin from August 7 and the application submission window will be active for a month.
Registration Fees:
For SC, ST and PwD category candidates - ₹950
For all other categories of candidates - ₹1900
Important Dates:
Opening Date of Registration: August 07, 2019 (10:00 am)
Closing Date of Registration: September 18, 2019 (5:00 pm)
Admit card Download Date: October 23 – November 24, 2019
CAT Examination Date: November 24, 2019
Result declaration Date: 2nd week of January 2020 (Tentative)
Venue:
CAT examination will be conducted in various test centres across 56 cities (approx). Candidates will be given the option to select any four test cities in order of their preference.
About CAT:
The CAT is an entrance exam for the admission to MBA/ PGDM courses in top colleges in India. The courses are offered by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM). The participating IIMs include the seven flagships IIMs and 13 newer IIMs.
The exam is conducted by the IIMs, on the basis of rotation all the IIMs get the chance to host the exam. Last year, the registration process for the CAT 2018 entrance exam was held in the month of August 2018.
The CAT 2018 was conducted by the IIM-Calcutta and the exam was held on November 25, 2018, in 147 cities across the country in two sessions. The Common Admission Test 2019 (CAT 2019) is conducted by the IIMs to fill seats in their PGP programmes.
The entrance exam’s scores are accepted by many B-schools including JNU. Candidates are advised to go through the detailed notification and read the important details like; important dates, application form, eligibility criteria, application fee, examination pattern & syllabus etc.
Common Admission Test (CAT) will be held on computer-based mode. Its contains subjects like Logical Reasoning (LR), Verbal Ability (VA), Quantitative Ability (QA), Reading Comprehension (RC) and Data Interpretation (DI).
