Common Admission Test (CAT) 2018 online registration has been extended for another eight days.
The interested candidates can now register themselves on the official site till September 26, 2018.
The examination will be held by Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM- Calcutta) on November 25, Sunday. It will be conducted in 147 different cities this year.
Candidates can download their admit cards once it is released on October 24.
By October 17 the tutorials will be made available on the CAT official site for the students to understand the format of the exam.
The site also provides a facility of directly asking their queries to the help desk through mail or call. The FAQs section in the site consists of the questions asked frequently by the CAT.
CAT is one of the biggest computer-based aptitude test conducted by the IIMs for candidates for the Postgraduate programme in Management.
This exam is conducted once a year and a candidate can register for the exam.
The pattern of the exam:
The paper will consist of 100 MCQ and non MCQ questions carrying 300 marks. These will be divided into three sections.
The first section will consist of reading comprehensive and verbal ability with 34 questions, the second section will consist of the logical reasoning with 32 questions and analysis of data and the third section will contain questions based on quantitative ability with 34 questions.
The exam is conducted for the total timing of three hours in which candidates are given one hour for each section.
CAT eligibility criteria: There are always criteria for an examination to filter the suitable candidates such as:
Age Limit- to appear for CAT a candidate must be of 20 years or above as by September 25.
Educational Criteria- It is mandatory for a general category candidate to hold a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or CGPA.
For SC/ST candidate at least 45% is compulsory.
Application Fees: After completing the application form a candidate has to submit a registration fee online.
