Uttarakhand NMMS 2025: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has opened the registration window for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) today. Interested candidates can visit the official website i.e. scert.uk.gov.in. to fill out the Uttarakhand NMMC application form 2025.
The application window will remain open till 6 November 2024. The SCERT conducts the annual NMMS exam to provide scholarships to deserving students. The Uttarakhand NMMS 2025 exam is scheduled to be conducted on 23 December 2024, in two shifts i.e. from 11 am to 12:30 pm, and the second session will commence from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
According to the official notice, 1,00,000 scholarships are available at the national level of which 1,048 scholarships are allocated for students of Uttarakhand. The shortlisted students from Class 9 to Class 12 will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 1,000 through the Annual Payment Bridge System (APBS) directly into their bank accounts via a nationalized bank.
To apply for this scholarship exam, the students must be enrolled as institutional learners in Class 8 at government schools (excluding central and residential schools), local body schools, or government-aided schools in Uttarakhand.
They should have passed the annual examination of Class 7 with a minimum of 55 percent marks and 50 percent for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates. The annual income of the applicant's parents or guardians must not exceed Rs 3,50,000.
