A green initiative of CBSE: Digital Mark sheets and Eligibility Certificates

CBSE’s commitment to environmental protection through the state- of-art IT initiatives in exam-related activities has been widely acknowledged and rewarded. These initiatives add to the saving of precious resources such as paper, trees, water and most importantly large-scale carbon emissions.

Started in 2018, this year also CBSE will provide Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) mark sheets to all candidates and eligibility certificates to successful candidates in Digital Format in their Digi Locker account.

The Digi Locker accounts of the all-present candidates will be created and the account credentials will be conveyed to the candidates on their mobile numbers registered with CBSE.

Enhanced Security of Documents
The digitally signed mark sheets and eligibility certificates will be legally valid as per the IT Act. The mark sheets and eligibility certificates will also contain an encrypted QR Code to enhance security. The QR code can be scanned and verified using the Digi Locker mobile app.

Key Benefits of the Initiative:

1. Providing mark sheets and eligibility certificates in digital format also lead to digital empowerment of examinees.
2. Electronic mark sheets will minimize the use of physical mark sheets and eligibility certificates.
3. It is easy to validate the authenticity of these documents electronically.
4. It reduces the administrative overhead of departments and agencies and therefore is cost-effective.
5. It is highly convenient for candidates as their mark sheets will now be available anytime, anywhere and can be shared electronically.
