UPPSC Recruitment 2024: More than 16.5 lakh candidates are waiting for two government examinations of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. This includes RO and ARO preliminary examinations. The RO-ARO preliminary examination which was to be held on 22 and 23 December in three shifts was postponed yesterday.
Around 5 lakh 74 thousand 534 candidates have applied for the UPPSC PCS exam, while UPPSC has announced recruitment for only 220 posts. Online application for these posts started from January 1 and continued till February 2. According to the latest update, this exam will be conducted on 22 December 2024 in a single shift.
The commission has rescheduled the exam date of the PCS 2024 prelims for the fourth time. Initially, the exam was scheduled for March 17, which was postponed to 26 and 27 October 2024. After that, it was rescheduled for 7 and 8 December 2024, which was postponed after the agitation of the candidates of students in Prayagraj.
On the demand of the candidates, the commission decided to conduct the exam in one day, one shift, and also removed the normalization process. Now, the exam will be conducted on December 22. The examination will be held in two shifts. The first shift will take place from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, followed by the second shift from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Candidates have been advised to keep checking the official website for the latest updates.
