The University Grants Commission (UGC) has released information regarding the final year examinations of the universities. The UGC has uploaded a notification on the Standard Conduct Procedure (SOP) of university examinations on July 8, 2020, on its official website. In this, detailed guidelines have been given for the final year and semester examinations of universities, colleges, and higher educational institutions.
 
On July 6, UGC released the revised guidelines for the final year examinations of the universities. In which it is informed that the final year examinations of the universities will be conducted online, pen and paper mode or mixed mode till September 30. The UGC says that the SOP issued for the examinations has been constructed keeping in mind the situation created during COVID-19. The UGC has declared the final session examinations mandatory.
 
The UGC has sent the SOP letter to 40 central universities. The states that the Ministry of Human Resource Development has created SOPs, which has been approved by the Ministry of Health. Universities will require students to fill out a self-declaration form linked to the state of health. The thermal screening will be available at every examination center. Students not filling the health states and not providing thermal screening will be asked to go to the examination center.
 
Social distancing will be followed at the examination center during examinations. Students appearing in the exam will have to download the Aragya Setu app on the phone. The floor, doors, walls, furniture, railings, staircases of the examination center will all be sanitized. There will be no rush to and from the examination centers.
