Southern Railway Recruitment 2024: The Southern Railway is going to close the application window for recruitment on various posts of Apprentice for training at various divisions, and workshops within its jurisdiction for the year 2024-25. Interested candidates who have not applied yet can visit the official website i.e. sr.indianrailways.gov.in. to apply for the same.
The candidates may note that the application window for the same will remain open till 5 pm today. This recruitment drive will fill out a total of 2,438 posts of Apprentice. The post of Apprentice will be filled in Signal & Telecommunication Workshop in Podanur, Carriage & Wagon Works, Railway Hospital/ Perambur Division, Loco Works, Engineering Division Arakkonam, Electrical Workshop, Chennai Division, Trivandrum Division, Palghat Division, Salem Division, Trichy and Madurai Divisions.
The selection of the candidates for the posts under this recruitment will be done based on a merit list prepared based on the percentage of marks in matriculation (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) + ITI marks in the trade in which Apprenticeship will be commenced. The panel will be based on a simple average of marks in the matriculation and ITI.
