West Central Railways Apprenticeship 2024: The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) - Western Central Railway (WCR) is going to close the application window for the recruitment on the post of apprentices in designated trades at Units/Workshops. The candidates who have not submitted their applications yet can visit the official website i.e. wcr.indianrailways.gov.in. to complete the registration.
The application window for the same was open from 5 August 2024. This recruitment drive will fill out a total of 3317 posts of apprentice across various trades in the Indian Railways. The vacancy breakdown is mentioned below-
For participating in this recruitment drive, the age of the candidate must lie between 15 to 24 years old. However, age relaxation is provided for candidates belonging to reserved categories. Also, the candidate must have passed class 10 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board and possess a National Trade Certificate in the relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
The selection of the candidate for these posts will be done based on the merit list which will be prepared from the marks obtained in class 10 and the ITI exam. The candidates who will be included in the merit list will have to appear for the document verification and medical examination.
