The TRB has released the exam dates for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) through the official notification available on its official website, trb.tn.nic.in.
As per the official notification, "TNTET 2020 is scheduled to be conducted tentatively on June 27-28, 2020. The official notice for the TN TET 2020 will be released by the Board tentatively on May 4, 2020."
The Board is yet to announce the application dates for the registration process. It has been expected that the application form will be released soon after TN TET 2020 notification releases. However, as per the current scenario of COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown, TN TET 2020 dates are likely to be postponed. Candidates can check the tentative schedule and exam details here.

TNTET 2020 Exam pattern:
The exam is divided into two parts Paper I and II. The paper I qualified candidates can be recruited as teachers for class 1 to class 5 while paper II qualifying candidates will be recruited as a teacher for class 6 to class 8. In both, the exams candidates are asked 150 multiple-choice questions. The test’s duration is three hours.

TN TET 2020: How to apply
The candidates who are interested in the recruitment process should apply only through online mode on the TRB website i.e. trb.tn.nic.in and should use a separate application for Paper-I and Paper-II.
The candidates should ensure that they have their scanned recent colour passport size photograph (JPG/JPEG /PNG format of size 20-60 kB) and signature (JPG/JPEG/PNG format of size 10-30 kB) separately.
Note- The TN TET 2020 online application uploaded without the photograph and signature will be rejected.
The candidates must fill in all the details in the online application form with utmost care and caution as no correspondence regarding change of details will be entertained. Incomplete or defective applications shall be summarily rejected.
The candidates who clear the exam will be eligible to apply for the posts of teacher in the state schools.
